About IAAA

Air Athletics Association - the history of development.

On June 15, 2018, the Federation Air Athletics Russian officially announced its withdrawal from the WAAPA international federation and launched an initiative to create a new international federation - the International Air Athletics Association (IAAA) to develop and promote the sport of "air athletics" and its disciplines.

International air athletics association (IAAA) was created to:

bring national Federations together to develop and promote air athletics disciplines all over the world;

develop and recognize sport disciplines through the national Federations;

03

create unify rules and developing standards for Air Athletics disciplines;

04

hold International Air Athletics Tournaments;

05

rank the strongest athletes through sports tournaments and classify them through the system of sport categories.

November 24-25, 2018, the 1st international champion - “1-st International Air Athletics Championship” was held by the International Air Athletics Association rules. It was held in three disciplines of air athletics and the athletes from national teams Latvia, Ukraine, Estonia and Russia participated.

The International Air Athletics Association (IAAA) has both full membership and associate membership as observers.

In the status of an IAAA observer, national Federation gains all the rights and opportunities of a member of the Federation but without right to vote, i.e. does not have the authority to participate in the management and organization of the working proses of the International Federation, but may:

  • run sports Tournaments to form the national sport team;
  • represent the national sport team in the International Tournaments;
  • to participate as an observer (without vote) in the work committees and expert groups of the IAAA.

In the status of current member of the IAAA, a National Federation gains all the rights and opportunities of a member of the Federation with the right to vote, i.e. has all the rights to participate in the management and organization of the working proses of the International Federation through its authorized representatives in the committees, work and expert groups of the International Federation. Full members also can:

run sports Tournaments to form the national sport team;

certificate judges of the National Federation;

certificate of athletes (sport categories) in air athletics;

04

organize a system of training and qualifications for coaches in the disciplines of air athletics;

05

maintain a universal open register of sport schools and studios that practice air athletics disciplines and participate in the professional certification program.

send (represent) their representatives to committees, work and expert groups of the International Federation

send (represent) their judges after the attestation to work in International referees' commissions of the IAAA at International Tournaments.

to organize International tournaments on its territory under the supervision of the IAAA

09

provide the necessary assistance and support to the new Federations in the status of "Observers".
